I have a dilemma and it's finding a motor to fit my 32inch long 10inch wide nitro hustler. It originally sported a Picco P5 marine that was a nice race motor. The problem is the mounts for the motor.... I'm looking to get a new motor but I'm not sure about how to modify or replace the current mounts. I included a couple pictures to help visualize the mounts. I am also looking for a motor to replace the old Picco P5 and was wondering if anybody knew anything about any decent motors that wont burn a hole in my pocket ( since i unfortunately also have to fork out for a gas motor for the other boat )
Overall i want a good performance motor but at about $200 or less and would sacrifice power for reliability. I really hope somebody out there can help me...these boats are pulling me apart! THANK YOU FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME!

What you have there is a Speedmaster motor mount and parts should be available from Bill McGraw at www.rossisales.com .
You should be able to reuse that mount. It can be narrowed or widened by adding or subtracting washers or retapped to make it fit a new engine if the holes are a different pattern. It can be flipped over also.
The aluminum is really hard so be careful if you have to retap the mount.
