Default 7.5 outboard noise level

HI Guys..Not sure if anyone has any idea on the noise level of a 7.5 KB with a tuned pipe is...Does anyone think it may be over the 85 DB range...

What tuned pipe do you have on it? Its probably very close to or over 85Db. I would guess, although it depends on many things, its probably close to 90Db.

My guess, if it is an unmuffled pipe like a regular MAC pipe, it is over 90db. This "guess" is from the fact that I got called out for being 94-95db at my last race with an OS .18 with a MAC pipe. I don't know if this would translate to the larger engines or not.

There are add on silencers that are available from cooperpipes.com, and I think you can also get them from CDrace1.com, but not sure how large he makes them.

Hi James..Im NOT sure I think its a Irwin...I think it would be easier for me to send you a picture of it..I have a Muffler on it which I got from HTB Boats in the USA to try and drop the noise level here in the UK as Im having probs within my club and the boat has to be tested....Would really appreciate all your help on this...Or do you know of a different muff..
