Thanks guys
Are they needed for smaller boats?
The boat is 930mm long (3 foot)
Also, what is the difference between facing the prop up or down? (positive/negative thrust angles?)

My Feedback: (1)
They're made for various sizes of boat and yes, I've used one on a .12 mono and now my gas boat. If the stinger is long then it has to be raised higher than the usual struts.
Here's an excellent thread on them: http://www.intlwaters.com/index.php?showtopic=23589

ah I see
Thanks guys
And, my boat now, the prop sits 8cm back from the hull on an outdrive system that the prop turns with the rudder
But that part there wears out way too quick so I want to change it over to a fixed prop setup
Should I aim to get the prop sitting about 8cm from the hull again with the stinger?
Thanks guys

How far behind the hull that the prop is placed, changes how the boat will ride. I do not have enough experience to know what happens at different length though.
