Phone battery dead Ken. Make me an offer on what you want not looking to get rich but I see what fleabay gets for them. Jeff maybe it will depend on how much my new toy costs. She's being delivered this week.

Great looking new toy!!!!
Well if you don't want to sell any of your omc, and Ken has not spoken for the T-4, I would be interested in that one.

Hi Everyone
Unfortunately I have some sad news for everyone .
My father, Millar Agnew, sadly passed away last week. He was 87 years old and had been suffering from Dementia quite seriously for some time.
It had got quite bad and most pof the time he did not recognise anyone. He did however live to see two great grandchildren born.
I mention this because it meant that he did not suffer towards the end and I think his passing was quite peaceful for him and was painless.
I have been monitoring all your posts for some time now and quite often used to take photos off the site in to show him and told him about the things you were all doing with the products that bore our name and were such a big part of his life.
On the few occasions that he was lucid and on good form he was really interested in what you were all doing and for that I thank you all for the pleaseure you gave him.
Thank you all again for the enthusiasm and interesting posts that you filed
Kindest Regards
Bob Agnew[]

Sorry to here about your Dad may he rest in peace . I did bid also but I knew she was going to go high.I've never seen one of those go for less than 5 bills and they usually go for 6 and change. If you look close the base piece of plastic was broken. So it was for display ownly.

specialk1,You have me confused on the Formula 402 and 409 as they look alike as in an earlier post on page 24.I took that my boat was a Formula 409 which is 54" long. Are there differences in a 402 and a 409 ? As for saving the hull. When your gone ,someone will probably sell the boat or run it themselves. If you have the drives for it ,put a gas engine in it and have some fun.

I'm am so sorry for your family loss , i know what you all are going though . i have lost my mother this year , it can be hard [] i have to thank your father for giving me the bug for R/C boats it brote my father and me closer thought the years for us , i know he has touch so many people around the would I'm glade this form could bring some happiness to your father keep in touch with all of us / ken renda

I echo Ken's sentiment on AMPS, fathers and sons to a "T," and wish you and your family the best during this very tough time. I have a Grandmother with Demetia and that disease is torturous. Condolences to you and the rest of your family.
My father picked up an old AMPS Brochure from the Chicago Boat Show I drooled over it unitl it literally fell apart. It sucked us both into RC Boats many years ago and I have been hooked since. He leaves a legacy that stretches all over the world.

Bob,
What a loss to all of us! So many years have passed...so many phone calls with Millar who had so much to give to boating...I hung on every word, because he was truly the Guru of outboards...I have his original specifications for tunnel hulls that I followed to the letter...all my hulls were in great part "Millar" hulls...I ran power trim for many years here in California doing the boring oval...turn right and go fast...never mind actually driving the boat!...I still have 2 AMPS hulls..some parts...and what I cherish most is a complete Evinrude AMPS mounted on a Burgess I designed carrying the ARCADIAN logo- the full sized hull that was raced here in the US met its demise at Havasu....I specifically want to also mention your visit here to the Bay Area some 20+ years ago with your wife...that was exciting and piqued my interest to a new level..I will never catch up with Millar...but I'm 80+ and don't get out as much anymore...I'm waiting for the ultimate AMPS gas OB...that I know will look just like a scale OB should...That's the Millar legacy...I know Millar is talking it up...up there and converting the heavenly host to his outboard heaven!
Thanks, Millar, for your inestimable gifts to us all. Jay Selby

To SpecialK1: just noticed your reply and scan of the papers I needed about the AMPS outboard, many thanks!
If by chance you have the operating sheet, it will be perfect, thanks again - Chris.

wich instruction sheet do you need ?? [8D]

Sometimes Fleabay reveals some (good) surprises for the buyer...
I have been lucky enough to find the listing of this AMPS outboard with a $200 B.I.N. less than five minutes after its beginning and 20 seconds later, I was the next owner !
The stuff is brand new but no box and papers, nothing is perfect
If by chance somebody has a scan of the instruction sheet... Many thanks Chris.
