was wondering if there are any groups or clubs in metro detroit that run nitro boats. i am just getting back into the hobby and think it would be fun to run my boat with others. i heard something about a group that races at stony creek, is this true? thanks for your time.

Go to the IMPBA website, www.impba.net then look for District 2.
There are several in the Big D area. FordModel Boat Club holds races in Sumpter Township SW of Detroit Metro Airport. There are races in Rockester Hills and other places near you.
You're lucky as most of the racing action and clubs are more in your neck of the woods although we're just getting a club going over this way.

I used to live around the area, now around chicago....and im an APBA member,,,,you can go on APBA website or get number from information,,,headquarters are in eastpointe .....( east detroit ...LOL )...they have a division for r/c boats...should be able to hook you up..plus like th other fellow said from Kzoo...ford model boat club...another source...i think theres plenty around there somewhere

You really can't miss with any club in the Detroit area, all of them have some great members.
