im running a miss bud 1/12 scale with a Go.18 engine & aquacraft strut and rudder ..... and was wondering if i should go with micro servos and should i use metal geared instead of standard?
i know about the hitech what about the bluebird?

40 to 50oz torque for the throttle will be sufficient (micro or standard).
80 to 90oz for the rudder (standard) (metal gear would be nice but for that size boat probably not a requirement)on a 1/12 scale is fine, the Miss Vegas uses 44oz torque on both throttle and rudder.

ok thanks for the info, looking around on tower i dont see any micro with that much tork , and certain ones i should look for ? i mainly want micro due to size of cutom radio box goin in.

stock servos are 42oz of tork.. I have a traxxas 2055 high tork that is 85oz of tork on my Oberto
. there higher tork one that go to 125oz..85 oz is planty of for steering for rudder. running that 85oz tork servo make my steering fast!!
better responce too.

try to find a mini/micro servo that has the highest tork in them.. like Dan said steering and throtle form stock are running 42oz on both. But steering you need a higher tork servo aspeicaly running at faster speeds the waterand boat puts a load on the rudder more..
