Wasn't it Tommy Lee that held the IMPBA B tunnel SAW record with a modified Hot Shot Sprint that was over 60 mph and held that record for many many years?

Seems like it Mark. That was a tough record to break and was only broken in the past 2 years.

Thought it was around 62mph and was there for over 10 years.. Believe Kensil now has the boat. When we were talking, Bob mentioned the boat weighed nearly 6.5 lbs.. And I did look at IMBPA, Tommy still holds the D, E and F OB records for SAW, all from 97 or 99.

I have a new VS1 and a new K&B 3.5 I am going to play with. I see this is an old thread but does the C/L of prop 3/16" above the bottom of the sponsons still hold true for a starting place? Thanks, Bret

Slick, yes, that is still a good starting point.
