What happened with the edit function for posts to threads? I would like to modify/edit and the ability is no longer there? Specific post: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=2362661
Edit function shows on this post to suggestions will go back and check referenced post again. Confused.

after a certain time has elapsed the ability to edit is removed. it is assumed that after a few months there should be little reason to edit posts. Most of the time the reasons if they exist are bad ones (i.e. covering tracks) while in other cases they are quite innocent intentioned (like an update). If you need an edit beyond the cutoff report the post to a moderator and include what you want changed. They can modify the post for you if there is good reason.

I'm not sure what you mean by cut-off period, you mentioned a few months?
I posted this reply (see date)
**RE: OK>> WHAT DID YOU GUYS GET FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! 12/27/2004 11:16:51 PM**
And as I read this thread I checked it and I dont see any edit button. not that I want to edit it but it was a fairly recent post.
By chance did the cut-off period get shortened??
