I mostly sell on another site, but have decided to start selling here also. After posting over 30 adds in a month, I have been changed to a commercial seller and now I have to pay a listing fee. No problem at all until I realize that everybody that wants to, can eliminate commercial adds from showing up when they are looking at the classified adds. That's fine when the adds are free, but now that I have to pay, it should not be possible for members to have the ability to keep my adds from being seen.
My opinion also, when an add has the big bold heading "commercial" on it, I believe it turns people off. You can classify someone as commercial but you don't need to put a warning sign out there about it.

Some vendors clutter up eBay with "garbage" and our members have expressed an extreme dislike for these ads. That is really the heart of it all. We could possibly rename the "Commercial" monniker to "Volume Seller".....dunno... I'd like to get more feedback from members.
I'm also not sure how many actually use the commercial filter. We have found that just having it there placates the savage beast in all of us!

Just to let you know, I have not sold anything since being labeled a commercial seller. I was selling quite a bit of stuff until then. I cannot or will not pay to list and then not sell anything. It's really ashame that it has to be this way. I guess I will only list 29 items per month. Back to E B A Y. Over there everybody has to look at all the "junk" but it sure hasn't hurt them any. More listings no matter what they are would be the name of the game.

I'm sorry to hear of that. We changed the "Commercial" label to "ProSeller" (more positive spin) and most of our commercial vendors do well here (if their pricing is reasonable). Remember also, that the seller does not get labeled, but only the ad. If stuff is good, it will sell. Try the new system out for a bit; I think you'll find that stuff will move (JJ Freestyle sells 100's of items a month and has for the past 2 years as a Liquidator).
