Default New T-Rex owner...where to buy parts

Hello all

My wonderful wife got me a T-Rex 450 XL and I am lining up sources for parts (I tend to break stuff) lol.

What sites have you guys found for the best service and cheapest parts for the T-Rex ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi
I have a XL
First of all if you have a local hobby shop that can get orders from Horizon, support them and see if they will be stocking parts.

Ya well I am not very forturnate to have a LHS closer than 50 miles and the best one is Route 106 racepark

http://www.106racepark.com/

I have two other hobby shops within 38 miles but they don't know squat...........I get the "oh helis.........they are too hard to fly so we don't carry them".

Ya, no crap. huh''

Other than the 106 guys ,, we do everything online i.e. tower hobbies, Hobbie poeple, etc.

Ya, Helidirect is suppose to be great and we have gotten some stuff from em but the last time we wanted blades and they said we will let you know when we get them in.
They got them in and notified us........we ordered 10 pairs.......they said we are out of stock.

So we dont really know how good they are...........

HeliDirect is good, and so is DeeTee Enterprises (http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/). Dennis at DeeTee is a great guy, he'll answer questions on the phone or email. His prices are good and service is excellent.

I only order at readyheli

helidirect might be good if you buy original Align parts.
But they also have completely crap no name parts (e.g. metal heads)

I have a trex se and a raptor 50. I buy all of my parts from heliproz.com. They have awesome prices and are very helpfull. If you don't see exactly what you need on the website which they are reworking right now, give them a call on their 800 number! Hope this helps!

I've tried comparing prices from all the links above plus a bunch of others and I've found [link=http://www.fxaeromodels.com/]FXAeromodels[/link] to be the best price and have super fast shipping and I've yet to find anything that I've needed be out of stock there.

"Quote from Joe K.......

Lol

Neither of the two hobby shops close to me (38 miles min.) carry helis and one said, and I quote , "Helicoptor parts? no, they are too hard to fly"

lol, sorry but I just crack up when that line is brought up. I support everything I can localy but when I got to drive 38 miles and still can't get what I need..........its sad.

Now on the good side. I found a hobby shop that is 52 miles (Route 106 Race Park) and they have a WWW too.
THese guys are very nice. The last time I was down there, they were just opening up, like 4 or 5 years ago.

My wife and I "took a ride" (ya, thats what we call it up here. lol) down to the Pembrook / Concord area and this shop has grown a lot. THey got planes electric and nitro, helis shogun and TRex plus, and lots of trucks and cars. Really very well rounded.

BUt.............over 50 miles away.
I have become spoiled and just like to "click" and order. Of course if I break something and cant wait, I can call Route 106. ;-)

And oh ya........hello "The Bob" havent heard from you in a long time. Nice to see ya. or see ya type. lol
