Whats your most embarrassing Trex crash..Mines was yesterday...Didnt damage the trex to bad since its already back up and flying but it beat the Sh$% out of me. I think when you have become good with the rex you start to push the limits more and more. So I fly mines right in my yard and sometimes out front where we have lots of trees and a street that passes along side. So a lot of my manuvers are fairly close to the ground, close to me..and you have to make them real quick. I have been doing it for awhile..well decided to pull a quick flight off on a day that had 20 mph wind Gust. I came out of an inverted back flip and at the same time wind from hell blows a gust. Rabid Trex blades are right in front of my face in a split second. Im between running from my own heli but trying to land it because I just cant crash my baby. Its gotten worse now since the gust of wind now stops and Im still counter reacting like there is wind there. Killer Rex is now exactly above me while Im almost in fetal position. trying to walk on my butt cheeks like some Bugs Bunny cartoon while rex is going thru its wicked motions. "Never realized how hard it is to fly a Rex when it basically trying to land on your forhead. Now to make matter worse I was out side with just my shorts on so no shoes no shirt, and Im break dance on the sidewalk while flying this killer heli. Finally I see the rex is mabe a foot or so above the ground, but its also a couple inches from my leg, at this point I dont care and I just want off this ride, so I hit the thottle cut switch and BAM down she goes..But nothing breaks, that is until the blades strike my calf twice..ouch...I will post a pick of the nasty cut those blades can produce. But all in all Im laying on the sidewalk laughing because I was so happy no neighbors where outside to see me running from my own heli..it was like getting attacked by a bunch of gnats at a picnic.

i had a aileron servo glitch once that put my heli inverted right in front of my face, lucky it was only one glitch and i managed to climb out inverted...

13 flights on the Rex and no wreckage yet. thank goodness. Man, sounds like an event. Glad you are ok though. That must have been quite painfull!!!!

need to have that on video for blackmailing, LOL. J/K

I had a pretty killer event like yours while I was building it. I flew it into myself while doing a check flight in the living room. I put a 1320 battery in it and wasn't thinking about the change in CG from a 2100. It flew backwards and into me. Still got the scars from the tail rotor.

I didn't have a T-Rex issue but did have one with my Raptor G2. There is a glitch in the heli where it decides to inexplicably fly in reverse cyclic, suddenly, sharply, and without warning. When learning tail in all you can do is pretty much run and scream like a school girl the the heli chasing after you. I've long since replaced, well, just about everything on that heli. AR7k receiver and JR servos now ensure that I don't have to run from my heli anymore.

wow great stories everyone, sorry that happened to you all, they are dangurous, i am going to build a 1 inch thick box out of pexiglass to stand inside of while i am flying mine after hearing all these stories
