Get all the help you need by watching Finless Bob's build videos at http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=11373. Particularly pay attention to ccpm1, ccpm2, and pitch curves 101.

thanks for your very helpfull reply.

Just taken the plunge from a blade cx2 to a trex 450 Gf and learning loads. Lot more to understand helis than prop fixed wing. Quite a steep learning curve but hope it will pay off.

Good site that heli freaks.

cheers

I just went the route you are embarking upon! [8D] I have 2 CX2's, a Walkera 4 and a TREX SE V2. I have about 10 flights on the TREX now and have the training gear off. Now, I must satisfy myself with sim flying for several months while it's cold.

If you have specific questions, feel free to post more here or PM me. DEFINITELY start by downloading and watching ALL of Finless' videos at Helifreak.com. Watch them twice and then watch them in order as you proceed through your build. I am a n00b too, but I may be able to help you somewhat.
