Default Green loctite r48 on t-rex 250 pinion will it hold?

In the kit for the 250 it says to secure the motor pinion to the motor shaft with the supplied r48 green loctite. I am just having a hard time believing this will hold?

has anyone had problems with this?

Is the pinion a press-on type?  usually it locks in place with a set screw.

[8D]If it has no setscrew, then it's a slip on pinion, and should be retained with GREEN locktite.
If you find this hard to believe, just wait
until you try to take it off !!!
Let it cure 24 hrs.
