Default trex 500 servo question

Ihave a trex-500 with generic digital servos. i keep burning them up when i put my 22.2 v. lipo to them. i also have a knockoff 65 amp speed controller. the servos work fine with an 11.1v. pack but when i pit the 22.2v. pack to them the burn up. do i need a regulator of some sort or could the speed controller be bad? help!!

It sounds like the BEC isn't set up for 6s. I suggest a separate BEC to ensure you are running a true 5v to the servos and gyro.
