Is this the engine that has an "attachment" to count rpms electronically? I don' t own the engine but it seems that the technology should be there since the ignition system is "counting" how many times the sensor passes the magnet anyway. Maybe I am not expressing this correctly but hopefully, you know what I mean. Seems natural all electronically fired engines should have that capability sooner, rather than later.

with a wood prop 24x8 and this muffler

idle is 1600 and full rpm is 6800

58cc engine at sea level, ~60% humidity:
Test with MTW test reso pipe: rpm, header length cm, header dia mm; remarks
Mej 22x10, TDreso;7700;25;28; slight hunting (unstable top rpm 7600 - 7800)
Mej 24x10;TDreso;6500;25;28; slight hunting
Mej24x10;TDreso;6800;40;28; slight hunting
No hunting at richer carb settings
Tests with KS 50 reso pipe:
mej 22x10, KS50reso; 7600; 25;28; steady rpm
Tests with final (available) 4-chamber MTW tuned pipe as soon as I can manage.

I was getting around 5750 RPMs using big wide Top Flite 24x10 prop. I had converted the engine to use the CH-Ignitions system versus the old Valach ignition system. CH-Ignitions has a really nice CNC machined amuminum sensor carrier. Plus the sensor only works with the one magnet, ignoring the second magnet, if you have the oder two magnet Valach system.
