The title says it all, any suggestion on voltage limits for the receiver? Will a 2 cell LiPo be to much, 2LiFe's?

A 2-cell Lithiuim battery pack of any type won't have too much voltage for the receiver. Receivers have their own internal regulators for their uses. You need to be concerned about your servos. Make sure they will work with the battery voltage you want to use.
