So far I've been running the lower kv motor. Havent personally tried the higher kv one yet. I did however run the 2208 26 on my Tensor at the eToc and liked it.

Mike, can you tell me the difference between the 1080 and 1360 e-flite outrunner motors? are they the same size as each other? Also, are the tensors going to be out this month or December? Thanks!

Yes they are the same size. Just diferent windings, thus different Kv. The Tensors will be close as far as making this month or Dec.

flyinrazrback,
I'm not trying to answer for Mike here but there's a little explanation of the difference between the two Kv values at the following link...see post #8. I've been flying both the new E-Flite outrunner motors and they are the same case size with different windings. (22mm diameter and 8 mm bell length)

George, thanks for the info, which motor do you recommend for the tensor when it comes available?

Either will work...I like the 1080Kv with the 10x4.7 prop...I get longer flight times with it than the 1360Kv motor but not quite as much thrust at full throttle. I like to use a 12V 730mah Li-poly for flying outdoors and the 7.4V 730 for indoors.

Thanks, what brand of li-polys are you using? I was using a kokam 2c 340 and an axi 2208/34 on my shockflyer, but was disapointed that I was only getting about 5 minutes per flight.

I like the Duralite Thunder Plus pack with the charge protection. The new high-discharge Thunder Power cells that they use are great. I like the new 730mah for the Tensor. For longer flight times I like to use the 1320 2-cell but the 3-cell 1320 is too heavy for the Tensor in my opinion.
