Dave, *** kind of turbine exhaust do you have
I hope you are going to blank off the side exhausts, caus I dont think a 450hp turboshaft needs 3 tailpipes.[X(]

Yup, plan on cutting them off and filling in the voids, also filling in where the missle launchers would have gone.
Im trying to get it to look more like the loach that flew in vietnam, have to modify the tail too.
I dont want to make it unflyable till the winter sets in so thats still a few months off.
Heres a pic of what i want it to look like when its done. The scale exhaust and cockpit are from a Ultimate soldier
OH 6 !!!!!!
Happy Flyin'

Oh, your doing the OH-6, that will be cool.
Just giving you a hard time over your exhausts
If I'm not mistaken dident the OH-6 have a corrugated looking tail?
If it does that would be cool to see in your model.

Yup RPM, the tail is that way as in this pic!!!
Should be fun to mod, a little fiberglass and bondo
I like the MD500 tail but no matter what i do i cant get those little fins to stop shaking!!
Ive tried everythng, the heli flys perfect other then that.
Im going to take it flyin this weekend and ill post some more video with the camera.
You have an OS 61 dont you???
If it isnt too much trouble could you tell me your pitch and throttle curves, i know im
in a different climate and all that, im just curious to see the difference.
Also do you know what headspeed your running ???

The fins shake on the real aircraft too, when the tail rotor needs smoothing. but most maintenance pilots are able to smooth the tail rotor and get rid of most of it. While flying formation close behind the lead ship you'll see the horizontal tail shake a little if the aircraft needs some re-tracking.
I'd love to see pictures of your MD500 models
