Sources of bulk parts and supplies
I'm working on a couple of kits which will likely be followed up by a few plans-built projects. I thought it would be helpful to start a thread where we can provide links to websites for obtaining various building supplies and parts where the goal is to save a bunch of money.
For example, I can go to my LHS or one of the online R/C suppliers to buy a bottle of Top Flite micro balloons. They are roughly $5 for 0.71 ounces (by weight). Or I can go to Wicks Aircraft (www.wicksaircraft.com) and order a 1 pound bag for about $9. In other words, I can get 22 times the micro balloons for less than twice the price.
So I'll start:
Various bolts/screws/nuts:
http://www.jrhobbyhardware.com/
http://www.microfasteners.com/
http://www.rtlfasteners.com/
Balsa and other woods:
http://www.balsausa.com
Anyone have websites for other things such as cutting blades, 30-min epoxy, mixing sticks, mixing cups, epoxy brushes, sandpaper, etc.? Any other resources for good deals on parts and supplies helpful to the kit/plans/scratch builders?

How about adding LoneStar Balsa to the list of suppliers? They came back after a factory burn out in 2007. A lot of builders liked this company's offerings.

RE: Sources of bulk parts and supplies
Here are some of my favorite sites for bulk parts:
McMaster-Carr for G-10, Metal, Plastics, etc.
SmallParts.com for parts, fasteners, tools, etc.
Terry's Auto Paint Supply for paint, fillers, etc (This is where I buy Split Second which is the lightest filler I have used)
CST The Composites Store for cloth, resin, tools
OnLineMetals.com name says it all
National Balsa I have used in addition to Lone Star

Here's a link to where you can find pretty much every single item you buy nowadays. Especially if you shop on price.
