Need any suggestions. Marvin
I tried to buy a cyl head from ouir local hobby shop but no Thunder Tiger dealers could be found.
I'll contact time sert next week and find out the repair cost of a insert. Sounds interesting.
If repairs can't be done resonably, I'll just use the Thunder Tiger 60 for parts as it is an older but good engine.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Marvin

Clarence Lee's repair service has been around for decades and is cheaper than buying the tools to do the repair yourself. There are probably thousands of engines out there that he's fixed, all working perfectly.

A Timesert is still the best. A plug can be pressed in and drilled and tapped too, but could loosen up if torqued. The 4 stroke heads can be pricey, and Clarence may be a good idea if you don't do it often. (and yu shouldn't need to)

OPTIONAL: GLOW PLUG KIT p/n 0142SP will have insert length of .180
We have a special length for 1/4-32 RC spark plug (GLOW PLUG) kit p/n 0142SP
The steel insert has a length of .180 inches with a copper coating for heat.
The kit will repair any 1/4-32 stripped glow plug that is .180 inches or 4.6mm.
Kit includes drill, counterbore, tap, install driver and 5 inserts & sealer.
The glow plug will now seal on the inserts flange preventing blow-by.
Sealer included p/n 6020 required on the external thread of the insert.
Below is a insert installed in a RC head.
