Default Transmitter case on the cheap

I have been doing this since I started out in the hobby, it may be common knowledge but I just made one for my new 10 ch Futaba so I thought I would post some pics of it in all its ugliness

While I admire your resourcefulness I still would sooner protect my fragile investment with a proper TX case .

A pistol case is very inexpensive and will house two transmitters snuggled in foam.

Yes, but this is so much more compact, it fits in my flight box, and does not look like l have something valuable in it

You're right , it doesnt look valuable at all, haha. My son loves to innovate with duct tape. Hey you are happy, it was cheap, and it works. Go for it.

Ha ha, one of my co-workers almost called the bomb squad when I forgot to put my home make battery cycler away after my shift I like to have the case because I could see myself damaging the sticks while transporting my stuff to the field and a full size case would be too big cause I like to take 3 aircraft to the field with me.

While duct tape does have it's uses, I used nylons and epoxy for this job(don't tell my wife)

Wink Rigid tool organizer

Purchased from the Orange Box store for $30.00.
Purchased foam from the same store for $4.00.
Transmitter fits in the center area, while charging cables, balance equipment, and testers fit nicely in either side. Everything inside the case is removable, user is not required to use the storage trays or dividers.
Weather resistant. Lockable. Stackable. Durable, yet lightweight.
Worth every penny.

I use the entire "system" for all my gear and love it. Nothing gets lost, electronics stay safe and dry.

Good luck!

Sweet looking case, and a lot better than a hundred or two for an aluminum case!

Harbor Freight black aluminum tool case. Only buy from there when I have a coupon. https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-s...ase-69318.html Paid maybe $20 + got my 'free gift', too.

Some of their stuff is great, some not so much. Watch what you get and plan on its intend use, and you will generally be satisfied.

Hi Doog-meister, I got a mini table saw from Harbour Freight two Christmas ago and like it. It is great for cutting down sheets to make some square stock. It seems to bind a bit at the end of the cut so I might have to get a new blade with some width to the teeth or try to offset the teeth on the existing blade.

If it only binds at the end of the cut then the stock you're cutting is probably twisting or warping and binding,,, google "table saw splitter" a home made solution is easy to fabrocate

I bought one from Harbor Freight several years ago and its still going strong. Holds two transmitters and it cost less than $30.00

In the current Model Avaition mag HF has a Pelican style case on sale for $23. There is also a 20% coupon to go with it. AND if you look at one of their adds there is usually a free item with any purchase. I try to pick up some of the Micro Fiber towels when I can.
