Default Broken wing dowel

To remove a broken wing dowel, select a piece of brass tubing with an i.d. slightly larger than the dowel. Cut teeth on the end of the tube with a small triangle file. Chuck the tube up in your favorite drill. Slide the tube over the wing dowel and cut the glue away from the dowel and the dowel will come right out.

Sweet tip! Sure beats moving the location, or trying to drill out the old one on-center. (don't ask me how I know!)

I also did this. Works great !

Then I put a new dowel in AND the copper tubing.

Then I Did the same for the other dowel ( two in my wing). Then enlarged the receiving holes.

This should strengthen the "dowel". It did break in the first place !!!! [X(]
