Getting ready to build a 1/4 scale Nieuport 28, will use latex acrylic for camo pattern over Coverite fabric covering, but what is a good aluminum primer to use for latex on the metal parts? Final coat will be polyurethane to fuelproof all surfaces. I always use vinegar to etch the aluminum but need a good primer for acrylic, any suggestions will be appreciated. Flipstart

You'll need a primer containing Zinc Chromate to get a good bond to the aluminum. The Latex should be compatible with just about anything, unless it's a laquer base, in which case you must use a laquer primer.

Thanks for the reply-glad you responded-usually just use rustoleum primer and do not know if it has zinc chromate or not-never had much luck painting aluminum-maybe that is why. Flip
