Default MutiCOLOUR Monokote scheme over open frame work

whats the best way to create a mulitcolor monkote scheme over openframe wing, without layering it. I have heard of someone saying to cut your design over a big enough pane of glass so as you seal all the colors edges together, the whole thing can be lifted off & placed on the frame like if it were on peice of monokote. Any other ways of doing it?

The preassemble on glass is the way I've done it.

Enjoy,

I iron the different colors onto the cap strips as I go, one at a time.

that sounds good if its in a straight line across( as the film heats & contracts in a straight line) . but my design arc down & across in thin strips. i would end up getting distorted straight lines between the cap strips.
