Default Curing CA the cheep way

Here is a tested tip for curing CA without the use of CA kicker. This tip was given to me by SuperAirborne, which in turn got it from his dentist wife. It is a bit gross though!

You can fast-cure CA by using your very own (free) saliva! [:'(] It works like a charm and, yes, I have tested it.

When I have to do a lot of CA work, I normally prepare a nice meal of steak and fries and just leave it there on the workbench. This assist in the production of saliva at a very fast rate. Pictures of Angelina Jolie also work very well, but only if her-royal-higness is not around.

A much easier way is to use baking soda, yes, the kitchen variety. A light dusting of baking soda is very helpful when trying to join most hardwoods as they are slighty acidic and CA's do not work well with acid bases. Baking soda also makes a good filler, just very hard to sand though as it becomes rock hard.

I like my models, but not well enough to lick the things !!

A light spritz of water from a spray bottle works equally well and doesn't leave any aftertaste.

Doesn't everyone put their airplanes together with chewing gum and spit?

How would dissolving some baking soda in water and using something like a perfume atomizer work?
