No shucks

Has anyone here sheeted a foam wing without the shucks?
I have cores, but have no shucks. I got it that way from someone that did not know what they were for.
I have a pretty good idea how to go about it, but thought I might see if there were any different ideas here.
Thanks, Tony

If using contact cement, there's no need to use the shucks. Make the balsa skin, apply cement to both surfaces, attach skin in rolling motion, leading edge to trialing edge. Flat surface is a must for this method. Find an old Sig instruction manual for a kit with foam wings, excellent resource. Sig Core Bond glue works great also if you can find it.

Vaccuum baggin? jsut thinking out loud..
What about many many beanbags? Or a series of long sticks, made up like the rolling top of an old writing desk? Has lateral stifness, but is flexible to follow the airfoil curve. Then just add weigh as needed..

I'm in the same "boat", I have an old Wescraft B-17 kit with no shucks. I am thinking about using contac cement or possibly learning to vacum bag. I did build a Gee Bee, from Jack Devine models, and all the foam cores in that kit, were sheeted with contac cement, so I know I can do that.
If you use contac cement, you make sure it will not attack the foam.

There are 2 other options.
Since you already have the cores. You could cut new cores, using your old ones as patterns. You have your root rib, tip rib, sweep, and washout right there.
Also if it is from a major kit, or plans design, you may be able to get a new set of cores from Dynamic Balsa. http://www.dbalsa.com/
