Default A good building board - I'm excited!

The metal building board goes over the glass, then the plan, then some wax paper. The magnets keep everything in place and flat to the board(s). The fixtures that came with the magnet system hold everything square and flat.

Default Just gotta share!!!

I am building my building board...honeycombed, looks like ribs, eh?? 49" X 97", will be glued and screwed, with corner blocks at all the joints. Made to be perfectly flat, and to stay that way! I will put a piece of 80" X 50" 3/8" thick glass over the top, and work on that...it's made of 7/8" MDF, and I hope will be plenty of support....

I have to get this done before I can break out any of the 15 or so kits I have waiting...

I use a door with sheetrock on top. Pretty cheap.

That's what I use for my smaller projects, however, the "biggies" I am now building take a lot more room. I wanted a 4 X 8, and the only way I could see it, was building a 4 X 8 hollow core table, as the doors had worked out so well. It's now done, and I can stand in the middle, and it doesn't deflect more than a 1/16". I am pretty happy with it, now I have started a Dynaflite Piper Super Cub on it.

Here's another picture with the honeycomb done, and no bottom yet...
