Default Separation in blue Loctite after long storage, so shake it.

I have experienced many times that the blue Loctite suffers separation when in long term storage after using the tube and re-capping it. So.....I shake well the tube before application.

Yep ... that's the ticket. I always shake loctite regardless of how long it sits between applications.

THe stuff is good for almost forever and it cures with the absence of air; that is why the bottle comes only half full so it has air in it. I have heard of a few people top their bottle off to the top, thinking it is good to have it full, to have it harden in the bottle because of no air. The cap is there only for spills.

Hi,I'm a pipefitter and use loctite a lot. normal heat & cooling well cause stored loctite, to do this. For your infomation and help, their is a shelf life on loctite. ALSO NEVER EVER USE ANY COLOR BUT BLUE LOCTITE. It well only cost you the price of the item you use it on TO LEARN THIS. caution! phil
