About a week ago I posted the question of how do I make a Y shaped pushrod for my split elevator. Well, I took some of your suggestions and got the Dave Brown Fiberglass pushrod Kit. I have now reached the point where I have no idea what to do. My fuselage is no where near wide enough to get 2 pushrods through it. I have attached pictures, and I sprayed black on one of them in paint so you can see it easier. Does anyone know what to do??????????? Notice how the pushrod is now on the outside, but how will I get it on the inside with everything on there like it should???????

Use the double hole that comes with the pushrod set. Shoot the 2 wire pushrods out either side of the fuselage as straight as you can and attach to the control horn.

So instead of making all those 90 degree bends, just put a slight angle on it, and once I get it outside the fuse then bend it? Do I have the right idea? Thanks

Yep, try to keep the link as straight as possible. Slight bends, if any. The straighter the pushrod the less flex you will have.

Lay the fiber rod on the bottom of the fuse with the two wire pushrods inserted in the double hole endpiece then bend the wires where they exit the endpiece so you get a straight shot at the control horns. This gives you the bend angles you need to exit the slot in the fuselage sides.

Make sure, before you glue everything up, that the fiberglass piece isn't hitting a former inside the fuse. You can lengthen or shorten the wire lengths to get the FG rod away from the former as needed.

Thanks for the tip hattend. I made 2 new straight rods, and after a whole lot of frustrating bending once the wires were outside the plane, I am finished. Took a while, but I feel better now. The throws and neutral positions are dead on. Thanks again
