How to mark for masking tape

Hello,
I am in the process of readying my ASM C182 for color painting. I am finishing the base coat of white, and want to apply two shades of blue for trim. I want to mark where the masking tape will go, so I can take my time and have it come out just right. What can I use for marking that will not bleed through the paint?
Thank You in advance.

Other bits of tape work.
Also, specialty pens that don't say "permanent" on them are worth trying. They often wipe off. Test first, of course.

A very soft pencil like a #1 or #2 works for me. Don't use pressure when you mark for your trim lines. The pencil mark will wipe off or you can use a soft white eraser. Even a light rubbing compound will remove the pencil mark.

Just put the masking tape where you want it....then shoot a light coat of the base color (white) along the tape line...that will bleed through and seal the tape. THEN shoot your color and when you pull up the tape, your color line will be sharp and clean!
