I need a little help from you experts. I got a ARF from a guy who couldn't put a plane together if he tried. I am in the process of replacing all the hinges. Unfortunately when I took out the old hinges it left a gaping hole in the LE Of the Elevator and Rudder. What is the best stuff to use to fill in these gaps. I will need to use some of the old holes for the new hinges.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bruce.

If you cant move them to new spots ,? (best method ) but keep in mind that CA works by capilary action meaning that it must be absorbed by the wood , the old holes will already be sealed from the first time they were glued ,this will cause a weak hinge !!!
what kind of plane is it , trainer ? sport ,aerobatic?
the problem becomes more servere the faster and manuverable the plane is ,
so depending on the plane , either move the hinges or fill the holes with epoxy and use pinned hinges they are thicker and need a larger slot to fit , once installed use tooth picks and pin them thru the TE while the epoxy is still cureing. one pin per hinge is the norm .
