Hi,

I have a little problem with my rv4 prom GP. On half throttle it tends to shake in the air. I know its not flutter so it must be something with the engine. The prop is still the same one I used one my previous plane and that didn't give any problems , so it must be the spinner I am using. It's a metal one that I had to cut out so that the prop would fit, my question is how do I balance it?

THX

Make a paper pattern of both your prop cut outs & compare the two , cut or grind to match. Put your cone & back plate together & put a small file mark at the seam & put on your prop balancer . Drill hole in back-plate on heavy side , use several small holes or slowly enlarge the one. When installing match up the marks so you will be putting in same place every time . Go slow . MAX H.
