Stock tires with chains will get you further in the snow. Those are for looks mostly, and they DO look awesome. Same with the piggy back shocks. Pure bling, don't expect better performance out of them, just a cool look. One of my most expensive upgrades is one no one but me will ever see. Aluminum diff cups. If I had the extra cash laying around I would love to have an all aluminum bling machine like the one a couple posts back. But I would only run it on freshly washed and waxed surfaces, lol.
Few years back I totaly blinged out a Rustler VXL, that thing sounded like a tin can full of nuts and bolts rollingdown the streetit had so much metal clanking around on it. I ended up selling it, that thing was so freakin' fast I didnt dare run it with all that bling.

The slash also does 60 so when you hit something or roll it's toast instantly. I have to say I'm surprised how well the summit holds up, it's taken some nasty hits already I'm amazed that the only things that have broke are the bumper mounts and rpm has a fix for that :-)

Bloody taxes need to hurry up and get here those tires are pretty sweet lookin. How well do they do crawling and climbing. I don't imagine the rubber is as thin and soft as the canyons.
I have these moabs and the rubber is pretty stiff I'm thinking I might just seal the holes in the wheels and turn them into my mudding tires once I get the adapters for the wheels to fit.

RE: Traxxas Summit
I dont have any complaints so far. I think im going to finally break down and trim every other tread off so they have more grip. O and they are very hard, prob. Mostly nc i have them sealed up so they hold pressure but even b4 i put them on the rim they were stiff.

RE: Traxxas Summit
They look pretty stiff which isn't really a bad thing sucks for crawling over large rocks but I can always switch back to the canyons. Whats the best way to seal the holes on the wheels? I was thinking silicone or a glue of some sort
