METAL T-MAXX TRANNY GEARS
DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF ANY AFTERMARKET COMPANY MAKES A REPLACEMENT METAL GEAR PART # 4992 AND 4984 FOR THE T-MAXX TRANSMISSION. I RECENTLY CONVERTED TO A .21 AND BROKE THESE GEARS. EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE TRANNY IS ALUMINUM FROM HARDCORE RACING AND THE SPUR IS METAL FROM RR.

In a recent Nitro magazine i saw a aluminum gear with the finger clutch in it, but you had to buy it in a kit with the forward and reverse primary gear set for $90. I dont remember who the manufacture is. It was in the Oct or Dec issue, under new products

THANKS FOR THE INFO GUYS. I ALSO FOUND A METAL TOP SHAFT (THE ONE THAT HOLDS THE SPUR) FROM RRP. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL SOLVE MY TRANNY PROBLEMS.

Wow! Those gears are awesome! I got a forward only tranny in my Maxx and most of the gears are hardened aluminum. The only gears left stock are the primary spur, 2nd speed spur and the top shaft (the one holding the main spur) Once these go, metal gears are going in. Can you give me the manufacturers of your gears? How do they work? All I want is to bulletproof the tranny so I can play with the truck continuosly, hassle free.[:@]

those gears are from OTB... you can't get them anymore and very few were actually made. OTB went out of business from whatI know.
