MIP CVD Pin Help
Well my big tranny woe ended up being just a tranny "D'OH", as all that is wrong is that the CVD "pin" came out, so the 'ball' just spins in the shiny bone cup.
My question is, can somebody with a good caliper measure the diameter of one of these pins...hopefully someone has one lying around. I have this 180 piece Harbor Freight drill bit set, so I figure I could sacrifice one for this purpose & not have so schlep to my LHS for such a tiny part.
Thanks!
Dean

RE: MIP CVD Pin Help
Get some shrink tube large enough to go around the "bell" on your drives and cover them with it. If the set screw backs off you won't sling the cross pin.

RE: MIP CVD Pin Help
Thanks, all!!
Yeah, I was gonna do that shrink wrap thing...my outdrives have boots glued on, but you can't do that for the centers. I actually was able to swing by my LHS & got the MIP kit, so I'm all set!!
