I don't know if the Hyper your listing is the 8 port or not but, if it's not then add that to your list and put it at the top. Then I would look for an XTM .247 Pro on Ebay as they can be had for under $140. Have you already done a .21 Conversion? If you have not, keep in mind that you can't add the Big Blocks without one! You can still drop in one of the Mid Blocks so, just a heads up on that!

If you are not racing, my vote would be for the CV-RX. Really pepes the truck up without tearing it up.

Epic .18 rules for the t-maxx. I have mine with a cvec pipe and it really moves the truck. I paid 130.00 for it at stormer hobbies. They have it in slide carb or rotary. Definetly worth getting. I'll be buying another epic so I can work on 1 while the other is in the truck during rebuilds. 1.8 HP at 39,000 rpm. Then again the numbers are never totally correct from any company.

ya thats what i am looking for is one that will last and the car will last. i dont need power the TRX was enough i just need a maintance almost free engine. i have heard good things about the OS CV-RX. what about the TM how much is it going for. tower did not have it listed. and the HYPER and and 8 PORT are the same price so i listed it all together.

Stay away from the Ofna Force engines, nothing but trouble. The Hyper 21, my dad has the 8 port in his maxx, great engine, tons of low end torque. I have the Picco P2 in my T-maxx, also a great engine which you didn't list. I also have the CV-RX .18 in my XXX-NT, really hard to judge that one unless i stuck it in the maxx in terms of performance. The XXX-NT and the T-maxx feel completely different. My CV-RX .18 is really reliable, overly torquey, and easy to tune. Hard pick on what you listed.

If you have the old T (.15 Pro), the OS .18 CV-RX with rotary carb. and short shaft fit right in without any mod.

You can't go wrong with the Fantom FR18, I couldn't be happier with mine. It has immense power over the 2.5, it's easy to tune, it holds a tune very well, it NEVER overheats, it bolts right on with no extra parts, and it's under $150... How much more ideal could it be?
