Default O.S cv .18

Well the block on my 2.5 cracked and it messed up the bearings. An i rather just get a new engine. How good is this motor? It looks great for the price, but i have a concern. Do i need an adapter to get the clutch on cuz the o.s doesnt have a pilot shaft???

yes you will need the pro.15 shaft.you would also need a side exhaust set-up and the throttle/brake linkage off a .15 maxx.
os is coming out with a rear exhaust direct replacement .18 for the 2.5 but when?the question is is that motor worth the pain of switching over?i say yes,my buddie has one in his .15 maxx and its been an awesome engine.

will the os put out more power to the wheels than the 2.5?? I got a manifold, so that wont be a problem. An someone told me i cold use the clutch adapter nut off a kyosho beccause there all the same. Also do i have to cut the crank shaft??

no cutting of the crankshaft on the os.
as far as it haveing as much power as the 2.5 i'd say yes.but its alittle different type of power.the 2.5 seems to get more top rpm but the os seems much stronger through the entire rpm range.so to get the same top speed you may have to gear up alittle.but instead of tuning half the day your just running.[8D]
