I tore some of the black part off the wire, so i just put shrink wrap on it and wrapped the needlenosed pliers in electrical tape so it wouldnt tear.

get heat resistant cloth and stitch it tight to the wire works perfect on fuel tubing gets dirty easily though but will not wear away or melt or burn

I will definately be ditching the ez start and getting a pullstart and glow igniter on my revo. I think it is cool putting on a show for a crowd, but I know how nerve racking it can be. It is only annoying when they get in the way of the car, stay for a real long time, get in front of me so I cant see, and ask for the radio so they can drive it[:'(]

Good shrink tubing can help to protect the glow wire as well. I shrunk tubed mine and now I can skid on it without it eating the weak treaxxas wire insulation. They use wires with really soft insulation. Oh yeah, a glow ignitor wil work fine, in fact some people claim you get better starts with an ignighter
