Default Melted muffler

O.K. I was running the piss out of her at around 270 for about 3-4 tankfuls. It was a HUGE cleared field and had some small jumps. Hated to pass up the opportunity.

Anyway... near the end of one of the tank she started acting funny and quit on me. I topped off the tank and tried to crank her. Flooded it twice.... Odd

New glow plug... no change

I thought she might have leaned out and got too hot. Took off the head and it looked fine.

Still would not crank. I am starting to freak out a little bit now thinking about losing my "next to new" OS TM motor.

I drop the motor looking for anything out of place and crank it over in my hand. (putt-putt-puttt) It sounds great!

I put the motor back in line everything up then crank her up. It starts, BUT I CAN'T HARDLY HEAR IT, THEN DIES.

I look at the pipe exit and it seems like some thing is lodged in there. I pick at it with a small screw driver does not budge so I try and push it through with a hex key. Nothing. Hard as a rock.

I had to take a drill bit and drill into the pipe and pulled out quite a bit of what looks like melted black plastic. ***?

Ah well at least she is running again. Sheeew! I guess with the newer, bigger motor and the long hot continuous runs I melted something inside the pipe?????

melted black plastic?

Could it be residue from pieces of your air filter ? Or maybe your little bro stuck a straw up there as a prank?
