RR spur gear
I need another spur gear for my t-maxx. I was playin and then it stopped running, it would just rev. (after like 1.5 tanks of gas) Would it be good to invest in a RR spur gear for like $26 shipped from towerhobbies??.

RE: RR spur gear
if your running the stock 2.5 i would not buy the rr gear. the 2.5 doesnt have the power to just rip the plastic gear. either the gear mesh was not properly set, or the motor moved as a result of a hard landing, or you forgot to use locktite, and the screws loosened up. for whatever reason they stripped, it wasnt cause the gear was incapable of handling the torque.
the reason i say not to get the rr gears is cause they are much heavier than the stock plastic one, and that extra rotating mass will kill your trucks acceleration.
if your running a stronger aftermarket engine, then i would probably invest in a stronger spur.
