Default Gearing a REVO

Ok, question about the gearing in a revo. I have seen close and far sets of gears for the revo. I am curious how that would adjust things in terms of high speed and get up and go, especially if you factor in the differant bell/spur gear combinations, could get very crazy. I wish someone somewhere had used all the configs and recorded top speed and something like 0-40 mph times. That would be useful.

the speeds aren't shown, but in the Revo Manual, it shows final gear ratios with the different combinations... (P. 45) the higher the number, the more accelleration, less top speed... and vice versa. it's really going to depend on what you are looking to do... if you're just screwing around... stay stock... I saw that you are going to be racing... I've heard that close gear ratio is best for racing. I am going with a wide... that way I can have a fast accelleration... and a higher top speed.

I'm thinkin of going wide because rather than run the stock 38T spur gear I got a 40T so I got juuuuuuuuuust a lil more torque goin to the tranny, If I use the wide I think it'll perform better than stock, dunno how much, or if I am even right, but that is the plan.

Just a little higher topend. With a lil less on low end. That's what I want.
