.18tm Getting a pipe to fit help?
http://cgi.ebay.com/T-MAX-18TM-ENGIN...QQcmdZViewItem
OK I think this is probally the best engine for the maxx,But im concerned about getting a pipe to fit.
If you look at the engine in the link above it seems to ahve a round exaust port and it seems that it would be in the way of the pull start?
This is my current set up on ow I run my pipe and the linkage for the slide carb.Anysuggestions on how I would make the .18tm work here?

The .18 tm is a direct drop in and has its own header which should clear the pull start if you so choose to use one. I don't know that you'll still be able to get that exaust configuration with it though. That is a good price on the motor though; mine was $220.

Well the prob isnt the pipe,I dont see how im gonna work the slide carb?
If the pipe goes along the right side of the chassis "where it is origionaly goes" I wouldnt be able to put my homemade linkage there as you can see in the pic.
How else could I run a pipe there and work the slide carb?

you're right, the motor on his truck isn't a TM, but the one in the link is.
You could possibly get the revo header and just keep the pipe on the back of the truck kinda like your current configuration.

yes, the TM is a rear exaust. The other guy thought that the motor in your picture was the TM (where the one your picture is actually a side exaust)

Well I wanted to get rid of that pipe pointing out the back like that.If it need to be in the back I need it to run side ways along the back of the shock tower.Because in races I would land funny and the back of my current pipe would get cloged and shut off my engine.
Can anyone post there set ups with .18s that use the slide carb?
Is there any linkage kit? Help!
