Default Fixing a Bad Break IN?

If you had a bad break in, such as in the cold or just being impatient, can it be fixed? Will a new sleeve and piston take care of this? If so, how much does that cost? I broke my truck in at very cold conditions (20 degrees F), so maybe, but doubtfully in my opinion, caused my sudden onset of high idle problems?

I guess the answer to you question depends on how bad the engine is.
If it's just got poor compression then a piston/sleeve will do. Worst case would be having to replace p/s, conrod and bearings. If that's the case it's more cost effective to replace the entire engine.
Before you start to go that route though, check for air leaks. An air leak on the engine or in the fuel delevery system can cause it to run lean and that can sometimes appear as a high idle.
Just a thought.

new engine...dont even screw with all that stuff. after time and price of parts i would just throw a new TM 323 engine in it for about $220 or you can just try and get a new 2.5r on ebay for like $100.

Traxxas has an engine exchange for 100 bucks. You can just swap it out with them.
