how to shim flywheel?
it was mentioned to me on another thread that i may need to shim behind my flywheel. i was trying to find a conical washer that would fit my crank and be longer than what i currently have since that would make my flywheel stick out farther but i cant seem to find one that fits right. so i am now conscidering shimming behind my flywheel. do i need to shim behind the conical washer or in front of it, also what kind of shims should i use. if i shim behind the conical washer how much of the bearing should be covered by the shim, just the inner ring, all the way to the center, or all the way to the outer ring?

RE: how to shim flywheel?
Ofna has a clutch shim kit that has several different sizes and thickness of shims. I've had to shim behind the collet on many engines and this kit works perfect for that and shimming the actuall clutchbell.
