RE: Is an S-MAxx really track ready?
A S-maxx is as ready as it is going to be out of the box.
The weekpoints for an S-maxx is the same as a T-maxx.
To compete with S-maxx you want your dog-bones to be driveline level. It will handle better. Threaded shocks help to handle that feat. Aftermarket CVDS eliminate all the backlash in the drive-train. Aluminuim bulkheads tend to be a must, A aftermarket reciever battery will make your servos run better, A high torque streering servo will do wonders(wether you go digitial or analog).
Any R/C vechicle that is bought tends to always have to have work on something before it hit the track.
