Revo 3.3 wheelies
hi all. My new revo 3.3 is currently stock. I have read problems that people have been having about theirs wheeling too much. But mine doesnt wheelie at all. Is this because my revo isnt tuned correctly or is it because the stock engine doesnt have the speed/power?
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
oh it has the power. lean it out a little bit and turn up the throttle on your radio. this is ONLY IF YOU HAVE BROKEN IT IN. if ti isnt even broken in yet then it should not be doing wheelies. mine can't stop doing wheelies and im running the stock 3.3 motor.

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
It will wheelie but the stock suspention set up absorbs a lot of it with the p2's. After the engine looses up start to lean it out and get it dialed in. It will flip on it's lid in the blink of an eye....think ~9.5lbs with .20 ci. power.....The first verson of a savage with the .21 bb in it would pull the front end up on me. That thing was ~ 12lbs stock with only .21ci. power....just food for thought.

My revo 3.3 is tuned great, but does not wheelie with the stock setup. The suspension just soaks it right up. This is how I want it though, blistering fast acceleration, with all 4s planted on the ground.

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
My 3.3 seemed to get a lot more powerful the more I ran it. I did the breakin process and wasn't that happy with it. Then it seemed like every tank of gas it developed a little more power. It's a beast now. I didn't change the springs but the oil in the back is a bit heavier and I switched to the crime fighter tires after i tore up a stock hex. Those things hook up very nicely.

to fit the axial .32, i used a newera big block mount for a .32, traxxas big block header, and some traxxas bb linkage parts for the throttle. oh, and a 3 shoe clutch. the newera mount fits a roto start, and i'm sure that a pull start would clear the rear a-arm as well. one more thing, a custom built wheelie bar. a bit longer than most manufactured wheelie bars. i've ridden a wheelie past the 2nd gear shift! can't steer though!

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
all i did was adjust the pushrods front and rear to the first hole inward cos its at centre stock ... this gave it abit more height and did wheelies right away but its true the motor does come to life after alot of tanks of fuel gone trhough it

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
My Revo would'nt do wheelies all the time, sometimes on the cement and sometimes on the grass. It just hooked up most of the time, which is not a bad thing but, a wheelie at will would be nice. So I dropped in a BB and am on the last stretch of assembly now, I just have to install the clutchbell and spur gear and I'm done . I went with the Qoncepts kit, I had the New Era kit and was not thrilled with it (lack of R&D, even BIGGER lack of Customer Service). Oh, I am using an Ofna/Force .28 from my CRT Truggy. I dropped a Picco FT .28 in my CRT.

a little off topic but, i heard if you drive your revo 3.3 up to a curb or wall, punch it wide open it will do a perfect backflip everytime. has anyone done it before? if you can put up some pics please.

RE: Revo 3.3 wheelies
if u tighten the slipper...DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN...as it will cause more problems than it is worth! Wheelies are fun....but as stated above it gets very annoying! Hard to win a race on your lid outta every corner.......
