Default OS .21 in Revo

Guys, I have an older OS .21RZB layin' around that I used to race 1/8 buggies with.
2 Questions: 1. I've heard about different BB kits available for Revo's; Which BB kit would fit my OS .21 allowing a roto start of some sort? (I've heard New Era but wasn't sure.)
2. My O.S. is bump started and I'm very intrested in roto starting my Revo.(more of a serious basher) Is there any roto start system out there, that will adapt to my .21rzb? This engine has a flat back plate, and I'm unsure if roto starters will only work on pull started engines. Thanks

Default RE: OS .21 in Revo

Well, I would say keep the engine bump start, however, that's my personal preference. Once I saw my friend use a starter box on his Revo, I knew I had to get one. Plus, roto starts and pull starts cause "lag" on the engine that decreases performance slightly. To mount your OS .21 on the Revo I'd say get one of the New Era mounts. One Era mount has the engine tilted almost over the rear shocks and the other comes with a custom a-arm to clear a pull start or roto start backplate. I'd say go with either one, here's the links to both.
Mount with custom a-arm: http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi...=&part_id=2292
Other mount that tilts the engine a lot: http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi...=&part_id=2553
About the backplate, I'd look for a roto start backplate maybe for the Savage however, I"M NOT POSITIVE it will work. Maybe somebody else on the forums knows, I'm sorry but I do not. Good luck with the conversion!
