Diff Spools, or not, and why?
What would the diff spools do to my t-maxx 2.5? It replaces the diff and gives it like possitraction right? Would that be a good thing? Better burnouts, wheelies, offroading? Are there any reasons not to use these?

they lock the two back (front if you so wish to lock the front) wheels so on road use is instantly a no go, turning on road will turn your drive shafts into twisty ties, and the turning radius is will killed completely, on dirt they can be used to get the rear engine to slide into corners, but usually there is no advantage unless you are drifting, not likely with a maxx.

Diff spools give great traction for the rear but have no real advantage. They will do more harm than good. If you are a basher than it would be fine. It will help keep the truck in a straight line better but steering greatly suffers and drive train parts will break.

I had the diff spool installed and it was nothing but trouble for me. The first thing I noticed was the rear axle shafts twisted, so I upgraded to cvd's and guess what! my tranny gears stripped. After that it met the trash can. I think I have a pic of the shafts twisted. I took the pic while comparing imex jumbomaxx tires to 40 series bow ties. Also I will post my stripped tranny. Hope this helps you make up your mind.
