T-MAXX tranny problems**NOOB**
[:'(]ok. i got a tmaxx and it runs good, but never gets into second gear. what can this be? i even loosened that screw inside the gear to make it engage quicker. but nothing!!! needless to say i took the tranny off and looked inside and everything is in place and working like it supposed too... thank you all for any help or advice!!! im sure its something simple i could fix but im just stumped.

Moe than likely it is shifting into 2nd gear. It's just doing it too soon and you're just not hearing the shift.
If you were really not shifting you'ld be complaining of high revs, the engine screaming and not being very (relitively) fast, not saying that it runs good.
Have you looked on the Traxxas web site for instructions on how to set the shift point? They have them in the "Knowledge Center" part of the site.

yea, i've read about the shift point. does it say where the factory setting is or do you know? the tmaxx is confusing sometimes...and i still gotta replace a bulkhead!!!

yea, i checked all that too. the slipper is tight! and so are everything else. lol that darn thing agg. me... [:'(] lol

wow. thats like the info i was looking for! lol so i took the tranny apart again and inspected everything and especially that little thing that you took pictures of. and the little arm thing also moves pretty good. the tighter the shift point the harder it is to pull the arm out. and i kno for sure its gotta be engaging. >_< would a weak motor cause the problem? although the motor is weak it still screams!!! so the thing should reach second.
