Want to get a Truck now
Revo , Jato or T-Maxx!
I need some guidance from the best forum in the world, I'm into Nitro On Road, they just built a new dirt track in my city and now I want to get a truck to go mess aroudn with.
I've read a lot and have it down to 3.
The only concern is that the Jato is closer to onroad then actual off road, all that speed seems a little unnecessary??
So which would you choose, out of these 3 and why?

RE: Want to get a Truck now
get a revo if u wanna race they are easy to upgrade and have good suspension off the batt>>>>........
if you get rele into it you can get a engine, better suspension, and good tires to go race with.

I voted Revo if you are looking at track. But look into other non-traxxas options if you haven't, some of the Savvy's are brutal machines and truggies are pretty popular now too.
EDIT:
Wanted to add that I would avoid T-maxx's there has been a lot of complaints and issues with them being too easily broken.

RE: Want to get a Truck now
Okay,
I was just talking to a friend on the phone and he almost had me sold on the Tmaxx, his truck is pretty sweet.
Why do so many people pick the revo over tmaxx?

revo is a better racer, which it sounds like you will be doing. both trucks are very easy to work on and upgrade. whatever you do, get a 3.3 and not 2.5...

T-Maxx or Revo. There are a ton of aftermarket pats for each and they are both made by a great company...I have a T-Maxx but I voted revo b/c it makes a better racer and is newer than the T-Maxx.

If you want to race, the Revo is your best bet hands down. If you were to go to a track and by some chance, albeit slim, see a Revo and Tmaxx racing together, you wouldn't need to take a poll. It would be clear that the Revo handles much better.

If you plan to visit the track at all, go with the Revo...and this is coming from a proud t-maxx owner.
They handle a track a lot better and are pretty comparable to a t-maxx for hardcore bashing (both need a touch of strengthening for serious bashing, but almost all do)

Revo all the way!! The t-maxx is a great truck but then you look at how old the design really is, and with all the competition around the t-maxx isn't as advanced as other trucks. Yea they upgraded the motor, chassies, etc.. etc.. It still doesn't compare to the revo.

Oh, Oh, Oh, I know....
Buy one of each....I did.
Serously, I did. Both are good trucks but, IMHO, the Revo is an all around better truck.

RE: Want to get a Truck now
if your looking into track the revo is the best option, however unless you plan on spending big money on upgrades (particualy radio) the LST2 is probably the best package deal you can get, it comes with a good radio, a good engine, and is a very capable track day truck and basher.
to get the revo race ready in a competitive field can take a fair chunk of money on the radio/servo side of things, the revo in my opinion is the best monster truck (opinion there), but the losi has a much better package deal out of the box if you are not looking to spend a lot on an all out track weapon strait up but still want something that is fairly competitive (many will argue very competitive) on the track out of the box with good auxiliary components.

RE: Want to get a Truck now
If you are set on a T-maxx man get it new for $420
I have a REVO and can't compare it to the T-maxx at all but am going to get a T-maxx soon for my 10 year old son and I to play around with.
